Itinerary

After breakfast, we visit the Silk Islands Region at Koh Okhna Tey and Koh Dach, more rural "Silk Weaving Island" there is a small village where silk weaving is their mainstay and there is a loom at every house and visit Old house. On the way, we will see the Floating Village, Floating Houses at Mekong River, Pagoda and we will pass the ferry of Svay Chom. Return to have a Sunset in front of Royal Palace at the Four Rivers. This afternoon, we visit Tuol Sleng prison now is Genocide Museum, the most secret part of the Khmer Rouge regime. It’s also called S-21 (abbreviated for Security Office 21), a Khmer Rouge's premier security camp, specifically designed for the interrogation and extermination of anti-Angkor elements. Leave the relics of the bad history of Cambodia we will visit Russian market, enjoy the bustling daily activities of the locals. Overnight in Phnom Penh. Breakfast Y

After breakfast and check out hotel, we transfer to Siem Reap. With stop on the way at Skuon town to see (or even try) sautéed spiders, a local unique food. Lunch at Prek Pros restaurant (own expense) before we depart to visit Sambor Prei Kuk. Cambodia's most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments, Sambor Prei Kuk encompasses more than 100 mainly brick temples huddled in the forest, among them some of the oldest structures in the country. Originally called Isanapura, it served as the capital of Upper Chenla during the reign of the early 7th- century King Isanavarman and continued to serve as an important learning centre during the Angkorian era. We continue our drive to through villages and rice fields dotted with palm sugar and Khmer houses. Our last stop is at Kampong Kdei to visit a beautiful ancient archaeological bridge of Angkor period “Naga Bridge”. Arrival Siem Reap, check in hotel and relax. Overnight in Siem Reap. Breakfast Y

After Breakfast, We Explore South Gate Of Angkor Thom Known As Big Angkor, 3km2 Walled And Moated Royal City And Was The Last Capital Of The Angkorian Empire, The Famous Bayon Temple Was An Architectural Muddle, In Part Because It Was Constructed In A Somewhat Piecemeal Fashion For Over A Century. After breakfast, we visit other highlights of Small Circuit including: Ta Prohm temple which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty! Giant trees have grown here for centuries! Prasat Kravan was originally constructed by noblemen rather than a king. Banteay Kdei was built in sandstone, which has deteriorated quite badly. However, there remain some very beautiful lintels and pediments. Srah Srang is a royal pool was the King's bathing pond, where he washed with his many concubines each day. Takeo – King Suryavarman I commissioned this temple in the 10th Century, but it was never completed so has no elaborate decoration like its contemporaries. It is a pyramid on 5 levels and is dedicated to Shiva. Thommanon – small attractive temple in very good condition, built at the same time as Angkor Wat. Chau Say Tevoda built during the second quarter of the 12th century opposite of Thommanon, it was dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu.This afternoon, we overland to visit the highlights of the Grand Circuit including: Preah Khan – meaning The Sacred Sword, this temple was also built by Jayawarman VII and is famous for its immensely long cruciform corridors and delicate carvings. Neak Pean – This temple is a delicate highlight of Khmer art. Built by Jayavarman VII, this temple is the perfect representation of the heavens on earth. Ta Som was a small classic Bayon style monastic complex consisting of a relatively flat enclosure. East Mebon was built in the 10th Century by Rajendravarman; this temple was situated on a small island in the middle of the Oriental, or Eastern, Baray. After breakfast, we visit Banteay Srei, loosely translates to “citadel of the women, but this is a modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings. Continue to visit Banteay Samre – large, comparatively flat temple displaying distinctively Angkor style architecture and artistry. Continue to Kbal Spean with stop en route to visit Pradak village to see the simple natural way of local people are producing palm sugar from palm juice (Toek Tnot in Khmer). Kbal Spean was the refuge of 11th – 13th century religious hermits and over the centuries they carved lingas stands, animals and sacral friezes into the surrounding rocks and riverbeds. Today, a well-marked path leads up the forested hillside to the central area that contains most of the carvings. The walk takes about 45 minutes. Visitors are rewarded for their effort by a stunning waterfall and rock pools in which to bathe and cool off. Return to Seam Reap in the late afternoon. Overnight in Seam Reap. Breakfast Y

After breakfast, at leisure until check out hotel (standard check out time 12h00) and transfer to the airport for our onward flight. On the way if time permits, we visit Puok, the real and original place of the Artisans d’Angkor silk, where we see the full process of silk producing, from the silk worms munch on the Mulberry leaves to spin their cocoons which used to make silk warp. We of course will see the weaving work and purchase the high quality silk products as a beautiful Cambodia souvenir. Continue to Siem Reap Airport for our departure flight. Breakfast Y
